north noble was started in late 2003, following other projects
under the names of alexis shoulder and neill miller.
the latest recorded release is titled whispers and is available
now for download.
this is neill's style of lo-fi. each of these tracks takes a short amount of
time to both compose and record, often at the same time. most of what you hear
is improvised, after a minimal amount of time is spent writing basic progressions and
words. melodies often change or are doubled improperly because what's recorded
is usually the first time they were realized. on average, it takes 1 hour to
write and record a song for north noble. some tracks have taken as long as 4 hours
to complete. like most lo-fi (as in the genre, not referencing the recording quality),
this music is unedited, honest, non-rehearsed, creative, and consequently emotionally raw.
